Our experienced technical team is always ready to help you select the right ABB solution for your project — ensuring performance, safety, and peace of mind.
The ABB 1SAZ701902R0001 overload relay provides thermal overload protection for motors, offering adjustable current settings, phase-loss sensitivity, trip class options, and compatibility with ABB contactors for coordinated starter control.
It is commonly installed in MCC panels, pump starters, HVAC motors, conveyor systems, and industrial automation requiring reliable overload protection.
It senses excess current beyond rated limits, causing a trip to disconnect the motor and prevent insulation damage, winding burnouts, or premature failure.
Set the dial to match the motor full load current from the nameplate. Ensure ambient temperature and motor duty cycle are considered.
Mount the relay directly under compatible ABB contactors or remote wire it as needed. Maintain proper torque, terminal tightening and check contact alignment.
Datasheet for 1SAZ701902R0001 is available on Electrihub with curves, wiring & technical characteristics.

The ABB 1SAZ701902R0001 is a commercial-grade Over Load Relay designed to protect three-phase AC electric motors from continuous overcurrent conditions, thermal degradation, and mechanical stalling. It operates as a ABB TA or TF series bimetallic thermal overload relay (e.g., TA25DU/TF42), providing economical, accurate protection for AF contactors against overload and phase failure in strict alignment with IEC/EN 60947-4-1. The device is engineered to comply with strict international benchmarks such as IEC/EN 60947-4-1, UL, and CSA standards, making it fully ready for integration into global power grids operating at both 50Hz and 60Hz. Procurement managers can find this authorized switchgear with global shipment support on Electrihub.com.
The ABB 1SAZ701902R0001 Over Load Relay continuously monitors phase currents via precisely calibrated internal elements (bimetallic strips or advanced electronic current transformers). In the event of a phase failure or single-phasing condition, the relay triggers an accelerated differential trip response to prevent rapid motor winding insulation breakdown. This action mechanically shifts the auxiliary contact block, opening the contact to break the control circuit coil and closing the contact to signal a system fault, ensuring complete protection across complex global automation networks.
The ABB 1SAZ701902R0001 is physically and electrically engineered for direct plug-in mounting to matching ABB power contactor frameworks, optimizing panel space and eliminating unnecessary control wiring. It is certified for both Type 1 and Type 2 coordination schemas under short-circuit conditions when combined with appropriate molded case circuit breakers (MCCBs) or high-capacity fuses. For independent installation profiles, standalone DIN rail or panel baseplates are supported, providing global panel builders on Electrihub with maximum engineering flexibility.
The ABB 1SAZ701902R0001 features a front-mounted current adjustment dial that allows commissioning engineers to set the precise trip threshold matching the motor's nameplate Full Load Current (FLC). The device features a user-configurable selection switch for Manual or Automatic reset modes; Manual mode requires an intentional field reset after diagnosing the overload fault, while Automatic mode allows the bimetallic components to self-cool and automatically restore the control path. Additionally, an integrated mechanical trip indicator enables swift diagnostic troubleshooting to minimize operational downtime.
Sourcing the ABB 1SAZ701902R0001 Over Load Relay via Electrihub.com provides international industrial buyers with guaranteed product authenticity, manufacturer warranty support, and full technical datasheet compliance. Electrihub.com is optimized for global enterprise supply chains, providing competitive wholesale commercial pricing, transparent export-ready compliance documentation, bulk order capability for major infrastructure projects, and specialized engineering support to ensure seamless component coordination across all international projects.
